Squiki Tiki with Dr. BBQ, Ray Lampe's new restaurant and bar, is planned for Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach in November. The resort's dining page lists that target as of October 8, 2026, without an exact opening day.

The restaurant will be inside Wyndham Grand at 100 Coronado Drive in Clearwater Beach, Florida 33767. Creative Loafing reports that it will welcome hotel guests and the public, following the 2022 sale of Lampe's former St. Petersburg restaurant property.

Squiki Tiki opening plans and reported hours

I Love the Burg's October 2 announcement gave December as the expected opening month. Creative Loafing's October 7 report also gave December. The resort now lists November but has not announced a specific opening day.

I Love the Burg reports planned daily hours of 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Its report also says the concept will be previewed at the Savor St. Pete food festival in November. The reported schedule covers lunch and dinner once the restaurant opens.

Barbecue, tiki cocktails and the room

The resort describes a restaurant and bar with island-inspired cocktails and barbecue in a beachside setting. I Love the Burg's menu preview names pulled pork sandwiches and St. Louis-style ribs alongside burnt ends bao and smoked shrimp summer rolls. The same report relays the resort's design plans: bamboo accents, thatched roofing, cushioned lounge seating and string lights.

Lampe's return after Dr. BBQ

Patch reports that Lampe ran Dr. BBQ with Datz Restaurant Group in St. Petersburg's EDGE District from 2018 to 2022. Creative Loafing lists his television appearances on Chopped, Tailgate Warriors With Guy Fieri and American Grilled.

November opening plans coincide with pool work

Wyndham Grand's renovation notice says pool deck work starts in early November and the pool will remain closed through early January 2027. Much of the restaurant's November target window overlaps the planned pool closure. Guests staying while the pool work is underway would have no access to the hotel pool. The renovation notice says beach amenities will remain open, with food and nonalcoholic drinks available beachside. The resort also lists Ocean Hai and its lobby bar, eSKPades, among its other dining options during the work.
