Sundrop, the restaurant and bar inside The Luce Hotel at 6300 Gulf Blvd. in St. Pete Beach, serves brunch daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., runs Martini Hour from 3 to 5 p.m. and serves dinner until 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, according to the hotel's Sundrop page.

The Luce is the former Postcard Inn. Bay News 9 reported in June that the hotel reopened after nearly two years of renovations following flooding from Hurricane Helene, with 200 remodeled rooms and a place in Marriott's Tribute Portfolio collection. General manager Jeremy DaSilva told the station the hotel wanted to offer "the best food and beverage experience at Sundrop."

Sundrop St. Pete Beach hours

Brunch runs every day from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Martini Hour follows from 3 to 5 p.m. Dinner is 5 to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5 to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The bar is indoor-outdoor, with seating inside or out in the sun.

Martini Hour and the Sunset Social

A sponsored That's So Tampa feature published October 21 lists the daily Martini + Fries deal in the 3 to 5 p.m. window: $10 Dirty Martinis, Espresso Martinis and Sundrop Lemon Drop Martinis, plus $5 sea salt fries.

The same feature describes a Sunset Social every evening one hour before sunset, with a complimentary sunset shot or toast.

DJ nights, rum tastings and yoga

According to That's So Tampa, Sunset Sessions puts a live DJ in the courtyard on Fridays and Saturdays from 6 to 10 p.m. Dinner runs until 11 p.m. on both of those nights, so a DJ set and a late table fit the same evening.

Other weekly events in the feature:

  • Rum Tasting Experience, Wednesdays and Fridays at 3 p.m., with a rum from Old St. Pete Distillery and Sundrop's own coconut rum aging in-house.
  • Free beach yoga, Saturdays and Sundays at 9 a.m.
  • A live cigar roller in the courtyard on the third Friday of each month, when cigar smoking is permitted there.

Cocktails and the menu

The hotel lists the Pink Flamingo and the Fluffy Mai Tai among its cocktails, and a seafood tower, caviar bumps and a double smash burger among the dishes. Its brunch menu includes Gulf Coast oysters with Champagne mignonette.

That's So Tampa adds that the Pink Flamingo mixes Tito's vodka, Cointreau, cranberry, lime and coconut in a flamingo-shaped glass. It also names the Frozen Aperol Spritz, the Yacht Club with rum and banana bergamot bitters, a Turf & Tide plate of pork belly and shrimp, and a Meyer lemon-glazed pancake at brunch.

For the DJ, go on a Friday or Saturday between 6 and 10 p.m. The Luce takes calls at (727) 632-3300.
